FastEST, Inc. Announces Release of New Residential Plumbing Version of FastPIPE

April 4, 2005 -FastEST, Inc. announces the release of a new residential plumbing version of the FastPIPE Estimating System. While previous versions of FastPIPE and other mechanical estimating software programs have focused on the commercial market, FastPIPE has delved into the residential market with a user-friendly version of their popular estimating software program, designed specifically for generating materials, labor, and bid pricing for single-family and multi-family residential plumbing jobs. FastPIPE’s residential program can be purchased for $1495, or combined at a reduced rate with any of FastPIPE’s existing commercial software products.

The residential program includes many unique features that speed up the process of doing estimates and serve as a useful tool for tracking projects. An extensive database of plumbing fixtures allows the contractor to select actual plumbing fixtures directly from the catalog of over 100,000 items. A fixture selection menu allows contractors to have at their fingertips the plumbing fixtures they use most often. Easy-to build room layouts, as shown on the main screen here, and room reports help the contractor keep track of the location and type of various plumbing fixtures and equipment within a house or project. Pre-built Specs allow the contractor to bid the project using his own construction methods. These and other FastPIPE features allow the contractor to price up a project in just minutes.

FastPIPE’s residential program will provide more detail and accuracy to bids without sacrificing speed. For example, when selecting a toilet, the user gets a stubout bracket, stubout, stop valve, supply tube, closet flange, wax ring, and even the closet bolts along with the toilet. If the user wishes to change the model of toilet; using a single mouse click, the first toilet can be replaced with the new model. If the fixture requires a different rough-in, the program will even pick that up! A contractor can save and copy fixtures, rooms, or even entire houses, making FastPIPE a valuable tool for contractors doing either track homes, custom homes, apartments, or condominiums.

FastPIPE Version 5 operates on any PC with Windows XP, 2000, NT, or 98SE operating systems. Microsoft Excel is required for Bid Reports.
