This current FastPIPE data update adds several hundred fire sprinkler items for those of you in that business.  I would like to hear from you about how we can make the program to better suit your needs.  It seems that more and more of our customers are expanding into that business.

In a couple of weeks, we will be sending out our first FastDUCT upgrade to all of the duct customers.  This update will include the addition of several new round and oval systems and should fill in the database to include most anything a commercial mechanical contractor would encounter.

GoToMeeting Helps Improve FastEST Support

Up until a few years ago, helping a customer install his existing FastPIPE system on a new computer would have involved sending out a new CD and guiding the customer through the installation over the phone.  Depending on the customer’s computer speed and his or her ability to transfer files, the process could take hours.  As more and more customers subscribe to high-speed internet, either DSL or cable, we are able to greatly reduce the time to perform routine support operations.

Tools such as GoToMeeting from Citrix allow us to get right online with our customers and even take control of the keyboard and mouse.  Generally, it just takes a minute or two for a customer to download the software, and join a meeting.  We even have a link to GoToMeeting at our Website.  With GoToMeeting we can deal with technical issues, assist with program questions and even perform training sessions using the interface.  We can either view the customer’s screen or allow the customer to view our screen.  This not only saves our time, but the customer’s time, as well.
